Capital Repair Design for the Odd-Numbered Main Track (JSC Ukrzaliznytsia)

Archizem specialists prepared the design and estimate documentation under a contract with the regional branch “Odesa Railway” of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” for the capital repair of a 3.414 km main-line section. The facility is classified as Consequence Class CC3. The documentation was developed in compliance with applicable legislation, construction codes, standards, and regulations and successfully passed expert review, resulting in a positive conclusion of the State Expert Review.

As part of the assignment, Archizem delivered:

• a full scope of engineering-geological and engineering-geodetic investigations;
• design solutions for horizontal and vertical alignment correction, track superstructure renewal, installation of continuous welded rail (CWR), level crossing reconstruction, and rehabilitation of the formation and drainage structures (Railway Track section);
• design solutions for utility relocation (Overhead Contact Line section);
• an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA);
• a Construction Organization Plan (COP);
• preparation of bills of quantities, specifications, and cost estimates;
• coordination of the design solutions with the client and support throughout the expert review process.

As a result, the client received a complete documentation package and professional engineering support for the construction stage, aimed at improving track reliability and increasing train operating speeds.
